Creating a Perfect Mocktail Hour for your Wedding
While we love a good cocktail hour, we love the ever growing trend of “mocktail hour!” Some of you may be thinking - mocktails? You mean just having tea and lemonade? Well… sure! But it can be so much more, and it can be just as great as cocktail hour! Below are some of our favorite versions of mocktail hour that we’ve seen.
Brunch “mocktails”
Oh brunch! Quiche, fruit, biscuits, bacon - what’s not to love!? And what better to go with that than a delicious beverage? This past fall we saw many brunch weddings that were accompanied by mocktails. One of the sweetest little mocktail hours that we saw was a European tea and biscuit bar. They could not have nailed it more! It was perfect for the chilly weather and so elegant. Having a summer wedding? Have flavored iced teas!
Sparkling sodas
We love the idea of a “his and hers” signature soda like our recent couple Lindsey and Ben did. This is a great way to keep cost down for your mocktail hour, while still providing a cute alternative to water, tea, and lemonade.
Mixed mocktails
Who says you have to have alcohol to have a mixed drink? There are even bartenders that specialize in mocktails! How cool is that? This is one way to bring your mocktail hour to the next level. Bartenders that specialize in mocktails can bring fun, flavored simple syrups, juices, sparkling juices, and fruit to top it off. The combinations are endless. Your guests won’t even miss the alternative...well, almost.
We hope by now you can see that mocktail hour can be a really fun option for you and your guests. Many of these types of mocktails can be tweaked to fit just about any budget and preferences for beverages. Looking for more inspiration and photos of past cocktail and mocktail hours?
