Real Wedding: Madeline + Benton's Romantic Floral Wedding
A ROMANTIC FLORAL Wedding at Ravenswood Mansion
Pops of pink and a romantic wedding dress fit to rival Cinderella’s, Madeline and Benton’s midsummer wedding is one we have been dying to share!
Wedding Details
Wedding Date: July 2, 2021
Guest Count: 150
Ceremony Time: 4pm
Ceremony Location: Back Field
Reception Time: 5pm
Getting Ready
Madeline and her eight bridesmaids arrived on 10am and settled into our Bridal Suite to begin hair and makeup. Shortly after the ladies arrived, Benton and his groomsmen arrived at 11:30am to make their way to the Grooms Quarters. Madeline’s dress was hung up on our soft pink floral divider in the second Bridal Suite for safekeeping. Once all the glamour was completed and it was time for the dress reveal!
first looks
Our front porch provided privacy for not one sweet moment, but two! Madeline did a first look with her parents and then after hugging her parents they stepped inside and shared that special moment of a first look with her husband-to-be.
Ceremony
Madeline and Benton opted for a back field ceremony, letting the lush green trees be the backdrop for their vows. Madeline made her grand entrance accompanied by her father from our back porch and walked towards the back field. Framed on either side by their friends and family, it was the perfect way to start their lives together.
golden Hour Photos
While guests began nibbling and enjoying the drinks provided during cocktail hour, the newlyweds made their way around the grounds to soak up the sunset for some truly magical photos.
The Reception
Madeline and Benton’s reception featured peach hues and gold accents to create the perfect mid summer reception among all their sweet friends and family. Each place setting was adorned with a custom dinner menu, raw ribbon, and a dried orange slice to really wow their guests when they sat down. While they chose to tent their main seating space, they chose to do an open air dance floor on our patio.
The SEND OFF
To conclude the evening, Madeline and Benton thanked their guests for attending and left the venue in a shower of love from their friends and family.

Real Wedding: Mary Virgina + Tyler's Spring Floral Wedding
Spring Floral Wedding at Ravenswood Mansion
If you’re looking for some perfect spring inspiration, this wedding is the one for you! This lemon and blue + white china accented wedding was the perfect kick off to our spring season. We loved seeing the thoughtful touches and elaborate elements Mary Virgina + Tyler brought into their wedding.
Wedding Details
Wedding Date: April 10, 2021
Guest Count: 150
Ceremony Time: 5:30pm
Ceremony Location: Offsite
Reception Time: 7:00pm
Getting Ready
Mary Virginia chose to add extra time to her morning so that her and her 12 bridesmaids could arrive at 8:30am. They spent the morning relaxing in our bridal suites having hair and makeup done on site. Once dressed and ready, Mary Virginia wow’d her ladies in a first look downstairs in our parlor. It was such a sweet moment, and something that we can’t recommend enough. With their stunning, whimsical bouquets in hand, they took group photos on the grounds before going to their ceremony location off site. They arrived back on property around 7:00pm to kick off their sunset reception at the mansion.
TRANSPORTATION
Mary Virgina and her bridal party chose to ride to and from Ravenswood in style! They had a trolley come and pick the bridal party up to take them to the ceremony and back to the reception.
Tented Reception
When all their guests arrived, they were greeted by a champagne tower and a lemonade bar cart to select their drinks while enjoying a cocktail hour both on the beautiful grounds and inside Ravenswood Mansion. Once inside the tent, our round tables were clothed in delicate linens in pastel hues topped with blue + white china vases. We think the lemons really knock it out of the park with a gorgeous pop of color! Mary Virginia + Tyler chose to add a canopy of string lights from the tent to the house, which added a special twinkle to the evening. The show stopper of the night, however, was the band stage, which was overflowing with lush florals and accented with wicker basket chandeliers overhead. We are definitely a bit obsessed with that overall look!
What we love about their reception: The bride’s father made the massive square bar to use at the wedding reception for the guests to grab drinks from. It was yet another stunning focal point of the night.
Special touches
Once the reception was under way, the guests were given LED Light up cowboy hats to put on and dance the night away in. These also served as a fun wedding favor from the bride and groom.
The SEND OFF
At the end of the night, Mary Virginia had an outfit change into the gorgeous, vintage mint green get away gown. The beautiful couple exited our front porch in style with cold sparklers! While we do not allow real sparklers, cold sparkler fountains are an excellent alternative to give you the same effect, without the flame!

Real Wedding: Lana + Grant's Winter Elopement
Winter Inspired Elopement at Ravenswood Mansion
Just because you are having an elopement, doesn’t mean you have to skip the details. Lana + Grant’s March elopement was sweet, intimate, and all around timeless. We loved all of the thoughtful details they incorporated to make it truly special.
Wedding Details
Wedding Date: March 20, 2021
Guest Count: 40
Ceremony time: 3:30pm
Ceremony Location: Front Porch
Reception Location: Inside
Getting Ready
Our beautiful bride, Lana, arrived around 10:00am on her wedding day to have hair and makeup done on site with a few close friends and family members. Our dashing groom, Grant, and his groomsmen arrived a bit closer to ceremony time around 12:30 to get dressed on site and be ready for pictures.
First Touch
Lana + Grant opted for a “first touch” instead of a first look. This is a great option for couples who don’t want to see each other before the ceremony, but still want to have a private moment alone. It can definitely help shake off the nerves. This sweet moment was captured in our upstairs pink bridal suite. The couple held hands and read personalized notes to one another.
The Front Porch Ceremony
You might say that we are obsessed with front porch ceremonies. The white, wooden columns, blue porch floor, and historic brick provide so many beautiful elements without having to do too much else. Lana + Grant chose to add two stunning floral sprays by Branching Out Floral Design set on gold stands to add a bit of soft texture behind them while they said their “i do’s”. They also set up a welcome table complete with a guest book and some personal signage.
What we love about their ceremony: They chose to add a live trio of musicians for ceremony music. This can add such an elevated level of sound to your ceremony that you won’t regret!
Couple portaits
We love that Lana + Grant chose to use many areas of our property for their couple photos. Our grand spiral staircase is always a classic, but sometimes being a bit adventurous really pays off with some “wow” photos! Their trip to our high grasses in the back field at golden hour helped prove that even without leaves on the trees, the grounds can be equally stunning if you know the right spots.
The Reception
There were so many special details placed around the historic mansion that they truly made it their own. The ivory linens with pale pink napkins offered just the right hint of color to let the charm of the historic mansion still shine. Lana + Grant spread tables out throughout the house in all three of our downstairs dining rooms. A special sweetheart table was placed beneath the staircase and was later transformed into their cake cutting station - talk about a perfect repurpose! This sweet bride and groom spent time intentionally talking with and interacting with their guests and you can see the love on all of their faces. They ended the day with a streamer send off into their car that their friends/family lovingly decorated for them for their getaway.
